Ear drops and ear ointment
Do you suffer from itching in your ears? Or is the skin on the outside of the ear canal irritated? Ear drops can provide relief.
What are ear drops?
Ear drops are often used to treat ear complaints. You can combat the complaints locally with ear drops. Ear drops help to reduce complaints such as irritation, pain and itching.
This is also what the OtoMel ear drops do. OtoMel is a product based on pure honey. The ear drops relieve itching and help repair damaged and inflamed skin of the external auditory canal.
When do you use ear drops?
You use ear drops when you suffer from an irritated external ear canal. You can suffer from this if your ears are inflamed. You can often recognize this by itching, flakes and possibly wounds or crusts in the ear. The complaints often occur in people who use a hearing aid, but the complaints can also occur if you do not use it.
You often use ear drops for these complaints:
- Earache
- Ear infection (of the outer ear canal)
- Ear wax
- Itchy ears
- Dry ears
You can also use ear drops preventively as protection. The ear drops soothe the skin in your ears.
How do ear drops work?
Ear drops, such as those from an acidic environment in the areas where the complaints are. Microorganisms have difficulty surviving in this. These micro-organisms cause your complaints and are, for example, the cause of your ear infection. A poor living environment for these organisms ensures that they will cause fewer complaints and that the complaints will decrease more quickly.
If you have complaints caused by micro-organisms, you want to make the environment in your ear canal a little more acidic. That's why you'll often come across acidic ear drops. Acid ear drops may also contain a corticosteroid. OtoMel natural ear drops create an acidic environment in your ear canal without hormones or corticosteroids.
