Nasal rinse salt for cleaning your nose
When you have a cold, it helps to rinse your nose with saline. This ensures that all kinds of dirt is removed from your nose, such as stuck mucus and crusts, but this can also be dust or pollen.
Nasal irrigation cleans different parts of your nose. The method is intended for cleaning the nose (such as the nasal passages) and the nasal cavities (the internal part where the nasal mucosa is also located).
Always use nasal rinse salt.
What is nasal saline rinse?
This salt is specially developed to clean the nose in a pleasant and safe way. The sachets of salt for nasal irrigation are easy to use and ensure the correct dosage.
Nasal saline rinse is a saline solution that has been specially developed for cleaning the sensitive nasal mucosa. It is a combination of sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate. That does not mean anything to most people, but research has shown that this combination makes the saline rinse mild and effective.
Rinsing with nasal saline is better than rinsing with just water. That is painful and leads to irritation. That is much too hard for the nasal mucosa (it contains iodine) and irritates it. Fine on your food, but bad for your nose.
NasoFree nasal rinse salt was developed in collaboration with ENT specialists.
What types of nasal rinses are there?
At the ENT store you can choose from two different types of nasal rinse salt, which are supplied in small salt bags.
- Nasal rinse salt This is developed for people with different types of nasal complaints. For example:
- Cold
- Stuffy nose
- Runny nose
- Allergy
- Hay fever
- Nasal rinse salt with Xylitol This is developed for people with (chronic) sinusitis. Xylitol helps in the breakdown of bacteria. This makes any antibiotics work more effectively and reduces the chance of infection.
