NoseWings are used to dilate the nasal passages. This improves nasal breathing, e.g. in case of a blocked nose. NoseWings can therefore help to relieve symptoms of a blocked nose, such as snoring and...
reduce sleep problems. They also help you breathe more freely through the nose during yoga and sports activities.
Unlike other nose spreader such as nasal strips, NoseWings use the repulsive force of magnets to open the nasal passages. These magnetic nose dilators allow you to breathe more freely, improve your night's sleep and ensure that you feel a lot fitter the next day.
NoseWings nasal dilators were developed by the Dutch ENT specialist Dr. Robert Andre.
Sports and yoga
NoseWings can also be helpful when practicing endurance sports such as running and cycling. Even in yoga, NoseWings can be an effective tool for relaxation exercises that focus on nasal breathing.
The literature shows that nose spreader can improve nasal breathing during sleep, but also during exercise. The quality of sleep improves and snoring complaints can reduce or even disappear completely.
NoseWings are made to be as comfortable as possible for as many people as possible. Usually the nose spreader fit without adjustments, but if necessary they can easily be widened or narrowed. The length of the legs can also be adjusted for maximum effect and comfort. NoseWings consist of a stainless steel frame with strong permanent magnets, covered by a flexible medical-grade plastic layer. They stay put without the need for glue, which minimizes the chance of irritation.
Unlike single-use nasal patches, for example, NoseWings can be used over and over again without losing their effectiveness. With careful use, the nose spreader will last at least 1 year. For hygienic reasons, we recommend cleaning the NoseWings before and after use with water and neutral soap and keeping them in the supplied storage container.
When are NoseWings not suitable for use?
And while NoseWings fit most adult noses and you can adjust them yourself, they may be too big for very small noses.
You apply the NoseWings to your nostrils. The repellent magnets gently push your nostrils outward. This makes the nasal entrance wider and air flows in more easily. A small decrease in the diameter of the nasal passage(s) can have a major effect on airflow. An additional effect of free nasal breathing is that it can reduce snoring.
NoseWings are designed so that they do not require adjustment for most people. Therefore, try adjusting NoseWings without them first. If necessary, they can easily be made wider or narrower for optimal comfort and effectiveness. See step 3 of the instructions for use.
The box contains a left and a right NoseWing, this is indicated with L and R on the inside of the box. For the best effect, NoseWings should be placed correctly on the left and right nostrils, with the magnets on the inside and the wings on the outside.
Tip : use a mirror when applying and adjusting the NoseWings.
1. Take the NoseWing that you want to apply first between your thumb and index finger.
2. Slide the NoseWing into position on the relevant nostril. When releasing the NoseWing, it should remain in place, but should not feel tight.
3. Cut to size (when making it narrower or wider, try to make the legs as parallel to each other as possible):
4. Then place the second NoseWing on the other nostril in the same way.
5. Make sure they are positioned correctly, directly opposite each other. The nostrils should be slightly further apart and you should notice less resistance when inhaling.
Depending on the shape and size of your nose, small adjustments in the position or angle at which they are placed can help you find the most comfortable and effective spot. For most people, NoseWings fit best when positioned towards the cheeks and further from the nose tip.
Are you not getting the desired effect? Then adjust the mutual length of the legs so that the inner leg becomes longer or shorter than the outer leg.
6. Done! Take your time to get used to NoseWings. If all goes well, after a while you should hardly notice that you have them on, except that you will be able to breathe more freely through your nose.
